Joining a gym can be intimidating. There are machines – how do you use them!? There are classes – but you don’t know what you’re doing! Guess what? Nobody knows these things at first! Our trainers will help you learn. Knowledge is power and weight loss is powerful! We’ve been called the “cheers of gyms” because we’re not only committed to getting you fit, but we want you to have fun as well.

We offer a program called “Total Fitness 101″ which gives you the right information to help you reach your fitness goals. It’s a 45-60 minute interactive seminar that teaches you

-How to recognize “power packed” foods
-What is Body Composition
-Target Heart Rate – What does it mean?

We also have a wide variety of classes offered at various times to suit any workout style and lifestyle. Our instructors will meet and greet you before class and give you some tips to help you be successful. If you’d rather workout on the machines/cardio equipment, our trainers and staff will gladly assist you with any questions you have. Or book some personal training sessions with our certified personal trainers.

What is TRX?

With all these new workout fads and gimmicks (shake weight anyone?) it’s hard to keep track. Let us sort it out for you, leave the shake weight and the thigh masters at home and come try TRX Suspension Training. The TRX was invented by a former Navy SEAL to help his teammates exercise when deployed. This ground-breaking training system has been adopted and trusted by the most demanding exercisers including pro athletes across the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, UFC; physical therapists and all branches of the military. It’s resistance training that uses your entire body, not just one muscle at a time. The biggest benefit is that you’re working your core the ENTIRE time while using your own body weight.

You DO NOT HAVE TO BE IN SHAPE to start TRX training. It is perfect for any age, any fitness level. Our trainers will coach you on how to make small adjustments to suit your fitness level – and your goals. Achieve weight loss, toning or even bulk up on muscle.

TRX, Kettlebells & Ropes:

This 4 week program will run you through intense strength circuits fused with jump rope and kettlebell intervals – leaving you breathless and begging for more. This fun metabolic program will challenge your strength and endurance. Core strength and interval work is the way to go for staying fit and trim, and this workout delivers both!

COMMITMENT: By signing up, boot campers commit to attending all 4 weeks – sickness and last minute work exceptions are understandable, but please try to attend everything. This is the best way to ensure optimal strength and conditioning progress and there are lots of new exercises to learn! It is also expected that each participant perform two extra individual workouts each week.

WHAT IS THE GOAL OF TRX BOOT CAMP?

Keep fitness fresh! Instead of traditional weigh-ins and measurements as the primary focus, our intent is to help encourage and create a healthy lifestyle through TRX training in hopes of carving a new and challenging fitness niche into your routine.

NEW TO TRX? All levels are welcome. If you are new to TRX arrive 15-min before any scheduled TRX to get a “basics” training.

Then SH’BAM is for you. Our club was picked to be one of 60 clubs WORLD WIDE to pilot Les Mill’s new dance program SH’BAM! After our 6 week pilot we wanted more! Les Mills Rachel Cohen choreographed a second release that is amazing! We launched the new music last week so members are just starting to see it.

Featuring simple but seriously hot dance moves, SH’BAM™ is the perfect way to shape up and let out your inner star – even if you’re dance challenged.

Set to a soundtrack of chart-topping popular hits, dance music that is heard in the hottest nightclubs around the world, familiar classics remixed and modernized Latin beats, SH’BAM™ is the ultimate fun and sociable way to exercise. Each 45-minute SH’BAM™ class is vibrant, unique and varied – and like all the LES MILLS™ programs, a new SH’BAM™ release is produced every three months with new music and choreography.

CAN I DO IT?

You most certainly can! Dance-inspired workouts don’t get any simpler than SH’BAM™. Your instructor will introduce you to the basic choreography and coach you through each of the simple steps – and it’s up to you to add in as much sass and style as you like. SH’BAM™ is for people of all fitness levels, and we promise you’ll get fitter doing this class regularly.

WHAT IS THE CLASS LIKE?

Combining sassy strutting, shaking and shuffling, SH’BAM #2 is 45 minutes of fun and frivolity – and a pretty intense full body workout too.

After getting your ‘shimmy’ on in the warmup, Dizzee Rascal’s Dirtee Disco starts playing and the workout kicks off with disco twenty ten style. Here’s where you ask yourself, ‘How would John Travolta do it?’ Then move your feet, add in the disco roll and let your hips do what they like. Dropping the disco, you pick up the Charleston Combo before bouncing your chest and working your derriere to the Latin tunes of Played-A-Live.

The pop-hit Bad Romance provides the perfect opportunity to throw a tantrum and go a little gaga. So sink low, work your hips and strut. But remember, it’s actually what you do with your face that matters. And the drama doesn’t stop there. Set to the 1980’s diva classic I Wanna Dance With Somebody, the second cardio peak is where you get to show off your star-like qualities.

You can embrace your Latino flair during Ricky Martin’s Pégate, then 3OH!3 and Ke$ha up the intensity and set the scene for some serious booty shaking with My First Kiss. To close you get to let it all loose to I Gotta Feeling before realising The Sky’s The Limit with Jason Derulo.
